The Stubborn Markers of Menopause

By  |

Jane Brody reported in the New York Times this past Monday, Feb. 10 that guidelines for effective treatment of the symptoms of menopause have been recently revised by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The new guidelines finally recognize that up to three-fourths of women in the US experience troublesome symptoms once their bodies stop making estrogen. Hot flashes can last for decades and vaginal dryness, if untreated, will last forever!

I encourage all women to learn more about this very important topic at the North American Menopause Society’s website www.menopause.org.

Let the conversation begin…
